ABOUT US

From our West Midlands base GW Consulting Engineers provide Civil and Structural Consulting Engineering Services to our Clients throughout the UK.

Established in 2022 we are the result of plans that were instigated when Directors Warrick and Graham met at University in 2001, when starting out on part-time degrees in Civil and Structural Engineering.

Over two decades later, Warrick and Graham agreed that they can probably put up with each other on a daily basis and GW Consulting Engineers was formed.

GW Consulting Engineers provide Clients with over fifty years combined Civil and Structural Engineering experience and over twenty years combined experience as Chartered Structural Engineers.

Our Values

Over the course of their careers, Warrick and Graham have gained experience at all levels within Civil and Structural Consulting Practices, both starting out as Junior Technicians, progressing to design, management and leadership roles.

We see each project as a fresh challenge. We keep an open mind to explore all practical solutions and do not settle on a solution until we have exhausted all possibilities.

We have a keen interest in conservation and sustainability and look to preserve and maintain existing structures and building elements where possible, whilst fulfilling a project's brief.

Communication forms the foundation of our values:

By listening, we understand and appreciate our Client's requirements.

By observing, we align our practices with those of our Clients' to the benefit of project delivery.

By sharing, we can explore alternative solutions to a project's obstacles, drawing on our extensive Engineering experience.

By caring about our work, we gain our Client's trust and provide solutions to the best of our abilities.

I've had an interest in Engineering from as long as I can remember; following my father around as he restored our family home with his infinite skills in carpentry and DIY.

My own long-running DIY project has enabled me to put into practice much of what I preach regarding sustainability and sympathetic repairs to building structures. One day I might even get to finish it!

Away from Engineering and DIY projects I have a passion for anything with four or two wheels (or sails) and can be found hitting the trails on my mountain bike, the hills on my road bike and spending time with my family (on and off bikes...).

As a young boy I was always hanging around and trying to help/hinder my Dad in the reinforcement business, getting the bars and fabric ready for site. Following on from this it was inevitable that I would enter a career in construction, and with an interest in technology I became an Engineer.

After a hiatus from mountain biking as I moved around the country, you may find me with Warrick rolling down a trail in the local area, or trying to sneak off to find somewhere a little more extreme.

Having just moved into a new home, I am happily modifying away with plans for a lot of changes over the next few years.
